This week's guest grew up in Pontiac, Michigan
and joined the Air Force right out of high school
as an electronic technician. He became a fighter
pilot and was shot down on October 17, 1967 over
North Vietnam on his 17th mission.
After serving as a Prisoner of War for 5 ½
years, he was released on March 14, 1973. A true
American hero, he's affectionately known as "The
Digger."
His name - Lieutenant Colonel Donald O'Dell and
we're honored to have him as our guest this
